What is DAOwar?

DAOwar is the DAO blockchain casino game which we are proposing to be built for the ICONBet platform. The game is played with six standard 52 card decks. The cards are ranked in the same way that cards in poker games are ranked, with aces being the highest cards.

After the player has placed a wager one card each is dealt to a dealer and to a player. If the player’s card is higher, The player wins the wager they bet. However, if the dealer’s card is higher, the player loses their bet.

A tie occurs when the dealer and the player each have cards of the same rank. In a tie situation, the player has two options:

· The player can surrender, in which case the player loses half the bet.

· The player can go to war, in which case the player must match his original bet.

If the player continues, the dealer burns (discards) three cards before dealing the player one card and the dealer one card. If the player’s card (4th card, first 3 cards are burn cards(discard)) is ranked higher than the dealer’s (4th card, first 3 cards are burn cards(discard)), then the player wins the amount of his original wager only. If the dealer’s card is ranked higher than the player’s, the player loses his wager. If the ranks are equal, then the player wins the total amount wagered.

A side bet is offered by which a player can bet on ties. If the player bets on the tie, then the players first card and the dealers first card must match. Then the player wins 10 to 1 to his original wager on the tie bet.

The MAX Bet will largely be governed by the treasury and internal calculations. Based on current treasury figures, and wagers being made through other games on ICONBet, we have estimated 100icx to be a fair max bet for the main wager and 25icx for the TIE (side bet). Ideally, the max bet can be revisited and even increased as ICONBet continues to grow.

As third party developers we feel DAOwar will not only add value and diversity but will also assist in ICONBet’s overall expansion. Another advantage of our proposed DAOwar prototype is the fundamental DAO structure which allows for maximum transparency. All transactions are made readily available on the chain to validate any concerns regarding results and outcomes.
